the region. The Great Silk Road passed through this land making
famous the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara.
Tashkent is now a modern city and the capital of Uzbekistan.
It is also the largest city in Central Asia. Equipped with
minarets and mausoleums, mosques and madrassahs, Samarkand
and Bukhara are known for monuments from the bygone days.
Those were the days of the remarkable brick and tile structures
- masterpieces of many constructors and artisans. One of the
largest open-air museums is Khiva, near Urgench. It is the
most preserved ensemble of all the ancient Central Asian settlements.

Friday Day 02: Khiva
Morning flight to Urgench. Visit to Khiva.
Saturday Day 03: Khiva / Bukhara
A drive through the Kyzylkum Desert for Bukhara.
Sunday Day 04: Bukhara
Full day tour of Bukhara.
Monday Day 05: Bukhara / Shakhrisabz / Samarkand
Drive to Samarkand enroute visiting Shakhrisabz
Tuesday Day 06: Samarkand
Full day tour of Samarkand.
Wednesday Day 07: Samarkand/Tashkent
Day at leisure or optional tour to Penjikent in Tajikistan.
Thursday Day 08: Tashkent and departure
Drive to Tashkent and trasnfer to airport.
